The Afghanistan Youth Association for Peace (AYAP) has been instrumental in providing emergency support to victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the Paktika province in Afghanistan. The earthquake, which occurred on January 7th, 2022, caused widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure, leaving many people homeless and in dire need of assistance.

AYAP is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan. The organization is made up of young people who are passionate about making a positive difference in their communities. In the aftermath of the earthquake, AYAP mobilized its members and resources to provide emergency support to those affected by the disaster.

One of the first things that AYAP did was to connect with youth leaders in the city of Paktika. The members of AYAP provided emergency food, and medical assistance to those who were in immediate need. AYAP volunteers worked tirelessly to distribute aid to affected families, ensuring that everyone had access to the basic necessities of life.

The work done by AYAP in response to the earthquake has been nothing short of heroic. The organization has been instrumental in providing immediate relief and long-term support to those affected by the disaster. AYAP’s efforts have been a beacon of hope in a time of great need, and their work will continue to be felt for years to come. The donation was made by the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), one of AYAP long-term partners.

Overall, AYAP’s response to the earthquake in Paktika province serves as a powerful example of how young people can make a positive difference in their communities. Through their dedication, hard work, and compassion, AYAP has demonstrated that even in the face of great adversity, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
